Exhibit X

A few weeks ago, Evan, Memo and I rustled up some interactive stuff for a party at Exhibit X. It was pretty last minute, so we hacked some existing projects into it, and got away with it! I did the glitch mirror thing, there's only snippets of it in the video, but you'll get the idea.

Also, I've been tutoring at my old department at the RCA, helping the kids graduate, and I'm co-leading this workshop on openFrameworks with Memo and Joel Gethin Lewis at UCL this weekend. Busy busy busy!

DEZEEN Green Design Book Launch

Dezeen Multi Touch Book Launch from seeper on Vimeo.

Slightly older project, couple of months ago now, a book launch for "Green Design" in association with DEZEEN magazine. It was in the Boffi showroom in Chelsea, sponsored by Bombay Saffire. Awesome.

The idea was to have all the page spreads on 3 spinning wheels (like a fruit machine) then you could pull pages of the wheels and zoom/rotate them, or double tap to go into SUPER-ZOOMING-SCROLLING mode! Success.

Dream Theater Map

A mini flash site I just completed for Roadrunner Records. The band, Dream Theater, are releasing a new album called "Black Clouds and Silver Linings", so this is a kind of social notworking viral-marketing toy. People drop a pin into a map and upload a picture of themselves, comment etc, all through flash, using UMap and Microsoft Virtual Earth - that's one thing they haven't managed to crucify (yet).

It should be online at http://79.170.44.106/blackclouds.co.uk/

007 Multitouch at the BFI

Another multitouch table for seeper. This time, it was installed at the British Film Institute for the opening of their James Bond/Albert Broccoli season.

We managed to get the graphics for the multitouch table that was in Quantum of Solace, and tried to make a real version, that let you play videos, scroll through maps, listen to sounds etc. It worked nice, the animations were really detailed.

Multitouch Toys for Airside Book Launch

The last few days I've been working on a set of software toys for seeper's new multitouch table, specifically for a book launch for airside. The book is a retrospective of the last 10 year of their work. It got great feedback.

There were 3 modes,

1. Cat mode where little cats crawl around in the grass and you have to hit them on the head to get points.

2. Physics simulation (pictured) of an artwork they had. You can throw around the various elements and spin them, crash them together etc.

3. Characters mode. You can pick up one of their animated dancing characters and sort of dance with it using your finger, or make them dance together etc.
